Description from the seller
Natural Aquamarine in Quartz — Ankazobe, Madagascar
A beautiful and unusual miniature specimen featuring a gemmy, sea-green aquamarine crystal naturally embedded within a translucent quartz matrix from Ankazobe, Madagascar.
The main aquamarine crystal measures approximately 2.8 cm in length, extending across nearly the entire specimen. It displays attractive icy-blue to sea-green coloration, excellent transparency in several areas, and well-defined, lustrous crystal faces.
What makes this specimen particularly interesting is the way the aquamarine passes through the quartz matrix, creating a striking natural association between two classic pegmatite minerals.
The surrounding quartz features areas of exceptional clarity, natural internal fractures, and reflective crystal surfaces. Under directional lighting, the aquamarine's delicate blue-green color becomes especially apparent against the transparent quartz.
Despite its compact dimensions, this is a distinctive gem-mineral specimen with considerable visual and mineralogical interest.
