Description from the seller

Mirror Frame in the Louis XV Style – Carved and Gilded Wood

Elegant mirror frame in finely carved and gilded wood, inspired by the Louis XV decorative repertoire. The undulating, pierced profile is enriched with refined rocaille motifs, volutes, cartouches and botanical ornaments that develop harmoniously along the entire structure, culminating in a scenographic pierced pediment.

The rich relief carving highlights the quality of the engraving and gives depth to the whole, while the gilding, enhanced by a pleasant patina of time, enhances its decorative character. The sinuous lines and asymmetric flow faithfully recall the French Rococo taste, reinterpreted according to the decorative tradition between the 19th and 20th centuries.

An element of great scenographic charm, ideal for inserting a mirror or as a refined wall decoration, perfect for classical, eclectic, and antique collection settings. It preserves traces of time and use consistent with the age and nature of the object.
