This edition is a faithful reissue of the celebrated 1929 special issue of the avant-garde architectural magazine L’Architecture Vivante, originally published to document the completion of Villa E-1027 at Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, France.

Villa E-1027 is one of the defining works of early modernist architecture and was designed by Eileen Gray in collaboration with Jean Badovici.

The villa, completed in 1929, combines modernist architecture with Gray’s highly considered approach to comfort, privacy, furniture and interior design.

The book presents the house through architectural drawings, plans, photographs and contemporary documentation.
