Description from the seller

Ancient manuscript Quran – 5 simple sheets, recto-verso – 10 handwritten pages
Originating from a Quran in detached parchment sheets.
17cm × 12cm.
Probable period: second half of the 17th century, 1st half of the 19th century.
Circa 1750–1850..
5 simple recto-verso handwritten sheets, i.e. 10 handwritten pages, coming from the same ancient Arabic Quran manuscript preserved as detached sheets.
The set originates from a part of a Quran (juzʾ) and includes several identifiable surahs.
The Quranic text is copied in Arabic in a large, regular, highly legible calligraphy in black ink, abundantly vocalized and punctuated with auxiliary signs. The titles and indications relating to the surahs are rubrics in red-orange ink, as are certain reading and separation marks. The written surface is framed by a polychrome manuscript border with multiple lines, mainly red-orange and black, with occasionally a blue-green line.
The surah changes are particularly decorative, their title, traditional classification, and number of verses may be inscribed in red before the basmala, بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The sheets were held in a type of cover attached to the sheets with an old catalog card in Arabic that records their identification and chronological attribution.
Specifically it bears:
اسم الكتاب : جزء من القرآن الكريم
Ism al-kitāb: Juzʾ min al-Qurʾān al-Karīm
A part of the Noble Quran.
The field reserved for the scribe’s name (اسم الكاتب) is not filled in.
The card then indicates,
تاريخ الكتابة : القرن العاشر الهجري
Tārīkh al-kitāba: al-qarn al-ʿāshir al-hijrī
Date of copy: 10th century AH.

Set of 5 handwritten sheets from an ancient Quran, written in elegant black ink in the Arabic Naskh script, with vocalization and numerous rubricated elements in red. The text is framed by double red and black borders.
The set contains several Quranic passages as well as the ends and beginnings of surahs, including Surah Al-Ḥāqqa ("The Inevitable", Surah 69), whose title is particularly decorative and entirely calligraphed in red.
