Description from the seller

Ancient manuscript Quran – 4 simple sheets, recto-verso – 8 handwritten pages
Provenance from a Quran on detached leaf pages.
17 cm × 12 cm.
Probable date: second half of the 17th century to the first half of the 19th century.
Circa 1750–1850.
4 simple sheets, handwritten recto-verso, i.e. 8 handwritten pages, originating from the same old Arabic Qur’anic manuscript kept in detached leaves.
The set comes from a portion of a Quran (juzʾ) and contains several identifiable surahs.
The Qur’anic text is copied in Arabic in a large, regular, very legible script in black ink, abundantly vocalized and punctuated with auxiliary signs. The titles and notes related to the surahs are rubricated in red-orange ink, as are some reading and division marks. The written surface is bounded by a multicolored, hand-drawn frame with multiple lines, mainly red-orange and black, with occasional blue-green lines.
The changes of surahs are particularly decorative; their titles, traditional classification, and their number of verses may be written in red before the basmala, بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The sheets were housed in a cover of a binding type posterior to the leaves, with an old catalog card in Arabic that allows documenting identification and chronological attribution.
It bears, notably:
اسم الكتاب : جزء من القرآن الكريم
Ism al-kitāb: Juzʾ min al-Qurʾān al-Karīm
A part of the Noble Qur’an.
The field reserved for the name of the scribe (اسم الكاتب) is not filled.
The card then indicates,
تاريخ الكتابة : القرن العاشر الهجري
Tārīkh al-kitāba: al-qarn al-ʿāshir al-hijrī
Date of copy: 10th century AH.

Set of 4 handwritten leaves from an old Qur’an, presenting different passages of the Qur’anic text.
Ancient Islamic manuscript in Arabic, excerpted from a religious work devoted to the stories of the prophets (Qiṣaṣ al-Anbiyāʾ) or their commentary. Text written in black ink, with red rubrics and signs, in a double red and blue frame. Regular Arabic script, many vocalizations and marginal handwritten annotations. Old paper showing some signs of wear and small marginal perforations.
Accounts of the Prophets / Noah.
