This handwoven Kelim features a clear, modern composition and a striking geometric division. The large base area is in a subdued mid- to blue-gray and forms the calm frame for the central pattern.
At the center lies an elongated field in sage green, framed by broad beige to sand-colored shapes. The side edges of the middle field are zigzagged, giving the composition a distinctly graphic impact. The design is complemented by recurring short line motifs in coral orange, dark blue, brown, cream, and muted green.
The motifs are symmetrically distributed across the area, creating a clear, rhythmic structure. Despite the geometric design, the rug feels pleasantly calm and homely due to the subdued colors and the visible weave.
With its dimensions of 205 × 147 cm, the Kelim is excellent for living, sleeping, or work areas and adds a modern but unobtrusive accent.
