Important ancient photographic album with a military character, dating from the second half of the 19th century.
Bound album, with a rich brown leather cover decorated with geometric relief motifs, with gilded edges. The interior presents 19 antique photographs, including portraits of soldiers in uniform, as well as group photographs and military gatherings in front of buildings and in gardens.
Notably, several portraits in military attire bear witness to the uniforms and the military organization of the time.
The album also contains handwritten dedications dated February 20, 1874, providing a particularly interesting dating element.
Some pages feature documents or illustrations of a military nature with references to Paris, to schools and military decorations, as well as handwritten annotations.
Old photographs on albumen print paper, showing a patina and signs of use corresponding to their age. Worn binding with rubbing and small damage, gilded edges preserved.
