JBL Arena 130 2‑way bass‑reflex bookshelf speakers, manufactured circa 2000, in good physical condition and tested and working, comprising two units and weighing about 6.2 kg.
Description from the seller
JBL Arena 130 compact 2-way bass-reflex bookshelf/monitor speakers, designed in the United States by JBL / Harman International Industries (circa 2015–2019). Technically in 100% good working order; visually in good condition with light signs of use consistent with age.
Within the renowned Arena series, the 130 is the larger bookshelf monitor, directly inspired by JBL's legendary M2 Master Reference Monitor. The most striking acoustic feature is the use of JBL’s patented High Definition Imaging (HDI) waveguide technology around the 25 mm soft-dome tweeter. This specially shaped horn edge provides an unusually wide dispersion, precise instrument localization, and a homogeneous energy distribution throughout the listening room, making the sweet spot considerably larger than with conventional loudspeakers.
In the lows and mids, the Arena 130 relies on a generous 178 mm (7-inch) polycellulose cone driver, backed by a rear-ported tuned bass reflex port. This results in the characteristic JBL character: fast, energetic, and with tight, surprisingly deep bass response that effortlessly holds its own in both dynamic pop/rock recordings and home theater playback. The sleek enclosure with subtly tapered side panels minimizes internal standing waves.
