Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
A diverse collection of 231 collectible postcards (1900–1990) from multiple countries, organized into two sections of city views and bridges, featuring Moscow, Khiva, Los Angeles, Benidorm, Brussels, Antwerp and Ghent, in good to excellent vintage condition.
Description from the seller
A substantial, exceptionally well-organized, and historically rich collection of 231 collectible postcards, securely housed in a heavy 20-page plastic sleeve album with a total weight of 2.55 kg.
Meticulous Page-by-Page Layout:
The album is professionally curated and strictly divided into two thematic sections for the buyer's convenience:
- Pages 1 to 15 (Topographical "Cities" Section - 180 postcards): A massive selection of European (predominantly Belgian Belle Époque) and international city views. All 49 postally used cards with original stamps and clear historical cancellations are placed in a consecutive sequence at the beginning, perfectly arranged 6-by-6 to display both fronts and postmarked backs simultaneously.
- Pages 16 to 20 (Thematic "Bridges" Section - 51 postcards): A dedicated, highly collectible section entirely focused on historical bridges. Features 14 postally used cards with early 20th-century cancellations and stamps, arranged in the same transparent manner.
Postal History Gems:
Includes a highly collectible late 19th-century US "Private Mailing Card" (bearing the official May 19, 1898 Congress Act print) with absolute provenance proven by an Antwerp arrival back-stamp from February 20, 1902. Mid-century Belgian history is also well-represented by a series of King Baudouin definitive stamps. Every single card has been individually removed, verified, and cataloged for full transparency.
Condition: General vintage condition varies from good to excellent. Early cards show authentic age-related wear, toning, and genuine postal handling, which enhances their historical value. The heavy album structure is solid and perfectly preserves the collection. Ready for secure worldwide shipping.
