Very beautiful fossil dorsal spine attributed to Asteracanthus ornatissimus, a prehistoric hybodont shark characterized notably by its powerful dorsal spines.

The specimen comes from the famous Kem Kem formations in Morocco, dating to the Cenomanian, at the early Late Cretaceous (approximately 100.5 to 93.9 million years ago).
