Bowers & Wilkins - 706 S2 Rosewood / 2-Way Standmount/Bookshelf Speaker set

The Bowers & Wilkins 706 S2 is the larger monitor model in the 700 S2 series, finished in the lovely Rosewood (rosewood veneer). Within this line, the speakers are best known for adopting technologies from the more expensive 800 series, notably the woven silver-coloured Continuum cone and the Carbon Dome tweeter. This combination results in a very open and direct midrange where voices and acoustic instruments come forward clearly, without the highs sounding sharp or pushy. Thanks to the 6.5-inch woofer and the slightly larger enclosure, they also deliver a fuller and deeper low end than the more compact 707 S2.
The set comes complete with the original factory boxes, the magnetic grilles, and the two-piece foam bungs to help damp the bass ports a bit if placed close to a wall.
Condition: the pair are in very neat, damage-free condition. Both the cabinets and the wood veneer as well as the units themselves have no dents, scratches, or other visible damage.
