2-head deck: recording/playback + bias head
Dolby B
Suitable for Normal (Type I) and CrO₂ (Type II)
Front-loading with the characteristic down-fold loading mechanism
Analog VU meters
Memory stop
Manual selection of tape type/equalization
Frequency response up to about 18 kHz with CrO₂
Wow & flutter: about 0.063%
Signal-to-noise ratio: 62 dB with Dolby
Dimensions: 41 × 14 × 33 cm
Weight: no less than 9.4 kg
It is mainly a very solidly built deck with a distinctive mechanism. On examples that are decades old, the strings, pressure roller, idler, and switches are the main points needing attention.
