French-made mid-century brass foldable desk display with four glass panels, dimensions 46 cm wide by 22 cm high by 6 cm deep, model Tríptico, in good used condition with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
This refined mid-20th-century tabletop display case combines the geometric elegance of Art Deco with the sophisticated glamor that would later define Hollywood Regency interiors. Made of brass with a warm golden patina and preserving its original crystals, it was conceived as a presentation piece intended to exhibit photographs, drawings, engravings, documents, or small works of art with an exceptionally decorative character.
The structure consists of four glazed panels framed by slim brass profiles, arranged as a screen or folding display cabinet. The two central bodies remain fixed and are crowned with an elegant crested row of stylized volutes that adds a delicate ornamental accent, while the side windows, hinged, can open or close freely to adapt the display to different compositions and formats. This feature provides functional versatility and allows for interesting plays of perspective and reflections.
The transparency of the original glass, together with the clean lines of the golden metal, creates a sense of visual lightness that enhances the pieces on display without diminishing their protagonism. At the same time, the quality of the materials and the architectural design of the structure make the display stand a decorative object in its own right.
Its aesthetics, halfway between refined Art Deco and the elegant opulence associated with Hollywood Regency décor, make it especially attractive for sophisticated interiors, dressing tables, desks, consoles, or display cabinets for collections. It is a piece with a strong stage presence that brings luminosity, sophistication, and an unmistakable air of vintage luxury, ideal for highlighting family photographs, miniatures, drawings, travel mementos, or small works of art in a careful and distinguished setting.
Certified shipping and careful packaging.
