Era: 1970s (20th Century)
Origin: Japan
1. Materials and Gemmological Specification
Precious Metal: 18 karat gold (750/1000) handmade, with a total net weight of about 64 grams. Features a dual finish: polished and mirror-like on the garments, chased and finely satin-finished on the face, on the encircling band of the hat, and on the exposed surfaces to give three-dimensionality and realism.
Gems Set:
Ruby: A natural central ruby of oval cut, set with prongs on the waistband at hip height, characterized by a vivid saturated color.
Diamonds (Brilliants): Three brilliant-cut diamonds set with prongs in correspondence to the collar and the jacket closure, serving as bright light accents.
Enamels: Fire enamel (Grand Feu) work. The trousers and the finishes of the sleeves and footwear are decorated with geometric and curved “scales” or wave motifs in apple green and translucent emerald green, outlined and profiled with glossy black enamel.
Base: One-piece pedestal of parallelepiped form in Green Onyx (a calcarea translucent variety with natural vintage veining) perfectly smoothed and mirror-polished, with tones ranging from light green to ivory and subtle rust veins.
