AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Salvino Marsura (attributed) – Brutalist three-armed candelabrum – wrought iron and cold paint – Italy, circa 1970

Description

Three-light sculptural candelabrum in hand-forged, hammered, and welded iron, attributed to Salvino Marsura (Treviso, 1938–2020). Trained in the workshop of sculptor Toni Benetton, Marsura created for over 60 years sculptures, lamps, and iron furniture in Treviso.

The piece shows his characteristic Brutalist language: sheets of iron torn into leaf shapes, rough weld beads, and an organic composition that rises upward. The surface is finished with cold paint in red, blue, green, and silver on a black background, with a vivid camouflage-like effect.

On the base there is a metal plaque attached with a stamped mark (see photo).

Dimensions: H 24.5 cm × W 24 cm × D 14 cm
Candle holder diameter: about 3 cm (suitable for thicker candles)
Weight: 1,377 g

Conditions: good vintage condition. Wear and small color losses due to age, with slight surface oxidation in some spots. Stable, no structural damage.

The item will be carefully packed and shipped with tracking.
