Arte di Murano - Alfonso Morgillo - Figure - Damina veneziana - Glass

The figurine depicted is a female figure in Murano glass, reminiscent of female characters from the commedia dell'arte or the Venetian tradition of the 18th century, such as the famous Goldonian ladies. Made in the second half of the 20th century by "Arte di Murano" of Alfonso Morgillo, a internationally renowned entity for the creation of art objects, Venetian mirrors and luxury lighting systems made entirely by hand. The main body and the dress are made of transparent ruby red glass, enriched by conspicuous inclusions of spots and stripes in gold leaf, which give brightness and sparkle to the entire dress. The mark is the gold lettering underneath the company name. Good condition with normal signs of time and wear; the statuette is intact. The height is about 31 cm.
