DESCRIPTION
Wonderful and highly detailed 1:18 scale model produced by Minichamps in 2003, reproducing the legendary Maserati Tipo 61 "Birdcage" driven by Carroll Shelby with race number 98 at the Times Mirror Grand Prix for Sportscars in 1960. As a piece with more than twenty years of history, the figurine stands out for an extraordinary level of detail for its time, including the faithful reproduction of the lattice tubular chassis, the highly wired engine bay with visible manifolds and throttles, opening doors, technical cockpit with dedicated instrumentation, and exquisite finishing with top-level collectible value.
