Holy water font - Ramon Sunyer (1889–1963) - 1920-1930

Wall-mounted holy-water font / .925 silver reliquary signed R. Sunyer, special for collectors.

Ramon Sunyer (1889–1963) was one of the great masters of silversmithing and jewelry in 20th-century Spain, a key figure of Catalan Noucentisme; his pieces are highly sought after by collectors of decorative arts and by museums (such as the MNAC in Barcelona, which holds some of his works).

Although the scene is Baroque in theme, Sunyer's execution features a clarity of lines and a nobility in the material that are very characteristic of his balanced style.
