Round candy box or lidded box from the renowned Hungarian porcelain manufactory Herend, model 6027-2-00, executed in the classic Mille Fleurs (MF) decor.
The fully hand-painted piece features on white porcelain a multitude of finely rendered, colorful spray blooms in pink, red, blue, yellow, and violet with delicate green foliage.
Particularly appealing is the three-dimensionally molded flower knop on the lid, designed as a small pink blossom with yellow pollen. The lid and body are further adorned with fine gold detailing.
“Mille Fleurs” means “A Thousand Flowers” and designates one of Herend’s traditional floral decors. A hallmark of the decor is the loosely scattered small, multicolored flowers on white porcelain. The decor is labeled MF at Herend. scopelliti.it
On the underside there is the blue factory mark “HEREND HUNGARY – HANDPAINTED” as well as the handwritten model and decor designation 6027-2-00/MF and additional painter’s or inspection marks.
