This Gabbeh rug is characterized by its particularly restrained design and the warm, intense color effect. The large open area is dominated by a bold orange to coral tone, making it appear clear, modern, and at the same time very homely.
Typical of the minimalist Gabbeh aesthetic are the few, intentionally sparing small motifs. In the upper left area and in the lower right area there are stylized, almost childlike figures and symbols, reminiscent of houses, plants, animals and abstract signs. They are rendered in small accents of dark blue, green, cream, yellow and black, and create a lively contrast to the solid-colored base.
Precisely the generous unpatterned area makes the rug particularly calm and modern. The small decorative motifs nevertheless give it an individual, handcrafted character and ensure that, despite its simple design, it does not appear monotonous.
