Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Pathé Motocamera 9.5mm, tested and working, in good overall condition with the original brown leather rigid case and accessories.
Description from the seller
In an auction, an iconic and rare pre-war cinematographic set for a high-level collection: the Pathé Motocamera (original model in 9.5mm format), produced in France by Pathé Baby starting from the late 1920s.
The lot is presented in good overall condition, functional, and is complete with its original vintage rigid brown leather case with crocodile-effect grain, coordinated shoulder strap, and two internal vintage metal magazines.
Optics. The precious fixed high-luminance lens Hugo Meyer & Co. Görlitz Kino-Plasmat 20mm f/1.5 shows lenses free from scratches or traces of mold and internal fungi. Only a normal, widespread vintage patina due to age is present, entirely physiological, which does not compromise its historical significance.
Mechanical. The lot has been tested and is functioning. The robust internal mechanical spring motor responds promptly to winding via the metal side key, faithfully driving the film-transport mechanisms and the rotating shutter when the front trigger is pressed.
Aesthetics. Good overall condition of the camera body, as clearly documented by the photographs. The large rectangular metal chassis retains an excellent visual impact, displaying its original black pebbled leather covering intact, which shows only normal light signs of surface aging consistent with its age.
Tracked international shipping, fully insured and with professional super-protective packaging to guarantee maximum safety during transport.
