Description from the seller
Dame-Jeanne Vase
Bressolles Louis — "Dame-Jeanne"
Collection "Naufrage" — 2026 · Unique piece
What if this Dame-Jeanne were an forgotten treasure, recovered from the depths of the ocean?
Born in Arcachon, Louis Bressolles draws on his childhood by the sea, the tales of piracy and treasure hunting to create works that resemble sunken remnants. He transforms collected and recycled materials into objects charged with history.
With "Dame-Jeanne", an ancient jar seems to have traversed time and depths. Shells, coral and chrome-like materials mingle with blown glass, as if the seabed had settled on its surface over the years.
Between an archaeological object, sculpture and vase, this creation evokes the mysterious vestiges of a sunken civilization, somewhere between reality and imagination. Its metallic reflections give it a precious and almost fantastical presence, while its primary function remains: once a vase, it welcomes floral arrangements as if a true bottle found at the bottom of the reef.
A unique piece, at once sculptural and functional, that invites into the home a fragment of a forgotten marine world.
Dimensions: 40 × 30 × 30 cm
Materials: blown glass, collected shells, coral, hot-melt plastic, chromed ink.
