Here for sale is a very rare and beautiful 19th century art nouveau alabaster bust of a young woman on a marble base by renowned Swiss/Italian sculptor Cristoforo Vicari.

The bust depicts a beautiful young woman in classical clothing with a distant expression made from alabaster atop an orange marble base. The front left side of the base is signed "C. Vicari" (Cristoforo Vicari - Caslano, Switzerland 1846 - 1913). Cristoforo Vicari, who designed this bust, is considered one of the top sculptors of the Art Nouveau period.

The busts dimensions are H: 30 CM, W: 24 CM, D: 10.4 CM and it weighs roughly 8.5 KG. The bust is in good condition though there are signs of ancient repairs with the condition and wear being consistent with the age of the bust(please see photos for further information).

This is an incredibly rare and beautiful piece and a must have for any collector.
