Description from the seller
IN RISALTO:
• Austin Healey Mk II 3000 (1963) professionally restored
• 6-cylinder 3.0-liter engine with carburetors recently tuned
• Gearbox restored with Overdrive and 4th gear functioning perfectly
• Interior preserved in original leather with burl wood detailing in excellent condition
• Chassis and bodywork solid and free from signs of rust
STORIA/PANORAMICA:
The Austin Healey 3000, introduced in 1959 and affectionately known as the "Big Healey", represents one of the most fascinating and capable British sports cars of the 1960s, famous for its successes in international rallies. The Mk II series, produced from 1961 to 1963, introduced important technical and stylistic improvements. This 1963 example was professionally restored a few years ago and has since been kept in excellent overall condition. The car presents itself ready to use and offers an engaging driving experience.
CARROZZERIA/VERNICIATURA:
The body and chassis are in solid condition and free from any rust or prior accident damage. The paint, although applied several years ago during the restoration, remains glossy and bright, showing only light and expected signs of wear. The chrome trim stays bright with mild vintage patina and the rubber seals are in good condition.
INTERNI:
The cabin preserves the original leather upholstery in good overall condition. There is only a light wear mark on the driver’s seat backrest, consistent with its age and originality of the components. The burl wood trim is polished and defect-free. All on-board instrumentation is functioning.
MECCANICA:
The 3.0-liter inline-six engine and the mechanical parts are in excellent working order. The carburetors have been recently tuned, enabling immediate starting. The manual gearbox has recently been rebuilt, restoring proper engagement of the fourth gear and the operation of the Overdrive. The braking system functions correctly, no oil leaks under the sump, and the tires are in near-new condition (despite being aged).

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
