Splendid and rare antique desk pendulum postal scale (pèse-lettres) dating from the late 19th to early 20th century.
This model stands out for its substantial size and robust construction. The three-foot base is made of solid dark cast iron and is complete with its original micrometric screw for adjustment and zero leveling. The movable-arm mechanism and the large curved graduated scale are entirely in brass, with a beautiful patina of age and numbers engraved, perfectly legible.
Maximum load: 500 grams (with very precise intermediate marks).

Excellent aesthetic and conservation condition. It has no visible marks or stamps. The mechanism has been tested: the movement is extremely smooth and the object is perfectly functional.
