Villeroy & Boch “American Sampler” – 14-Piece Vintage Tableware Set – 1981 – Unused Condition
Beautiful and exceptionally well-preserved vintage tableware set by Villeroy & Boch Luxembourg, from the American Sampler collection, First Impressions 1981.
The charming decoration combines delicate pastoral scenes with figures, trees, birds and small animals with finely drawn floral borders. The warm ivory-coloured ground is finished with elegant burgundy-red edging, creating a particularly harmonious and distinctive design.
The pieces are made of Vitro-Porcelain and bear the original Villeroy & Boch Luxembourg backstamp:
Villeroy & Boch – Ancienne Manufacture Impériale et Royale – Luxembourg – American Sampler – First Impressions 1981.
The lot consists of 14 pieces:
4 large dinner plates
4 smaller plates / saucers
1 small bowl
larger bowl, suitable for snacks or serving
1 tea trio consisting of a tea cup, matching saucer and side/cake plate
1 milk jug / creamer
1 large round cake or serving platter
Condition
Excellent vintage condition. The set has never been used.
The pieces are exceptionally fresh and clean, including the surfaces, interiors, rims and bases. The decoration and coloured borders are beautifully preserved. No chips, no cracks and no visible signs of use.
Please examine the photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description.
A particularly attractive example of the discontinued Villeroy & Boch American Sampler series, preserved in remarkable unused condition and suitable both for collectors and for an elegant vintage table setting.
