Pair of antique candlesticks later adapted to electric lamps, executed in gilded and relief-moulded metal. Figurative pedestals featuring female Caryatids in an Egyptian-inspired design, with arms raised supporting cut-out wall-arms. Upper part in the form of a baluster, decorated with palmettes and vegetal motifs.

They stand on tiered circular bases, adorned with pearl friezes, acanthus leaves and fluting. French production in the Empire Revival style, named Retour d’Égypte, probably from the late 19th century.
