Sagrantino is the Umbrian wine typically reserved for special occasions; Memoira makes it accessible without compromising on character or aging potential. It displays a ruby red color with intense purple hues. The nose opens with an intense fruity bouquet featuring elegant raspberry scents, enriched by pleasant spicy notes of vanilla. On the palate, it is enveloping, pleasantly full-bodied, and round, with tannins that lend it distinct character. It is pleasantly powerful and bold, with a strong tannic concentration. Produced from 100% Sagrantino grapes, it undergoes fermentation and maceration at controlled temperatures, followed by a second post-fermentation maceration. After racking, the wine is transferred to French oak barriques to undergo malolactic fermentation. This is followed by 12 months of wood aging and a further 6 months of bottle maturation.
