Description from the seller
Beautiful, classic bouillotte lamp, made in gilded brass with a distinctive adjustable tin (tole) shade.
The lamp has a round base with a ring-shaped handle. Around the fitting is a white plastic candle sleeve. The green shade with gold motifs is height-adjustable with an ornate set screw on a rod on the side.
Although the lamp dates from the 1970s, the design harkens back to the classic 19th-century bouillotte table lamps in Empire style.
Although the maker cannot be determined with certainty, the lamp has all the characteristics of the famous Maison Lucien Gau firm.
The lamp is 37 cm tall. The diameter of the shade (at the bottom) is 17 cm. The diameter of the base is 15.5 cm. The lamp is equipped with an E14 socket. The cord contains an on/off switch. The weight is about 980 grams.
The lamp is in good to very good condition, with only light signs of use. For a good impression, please refer to the photos.
