Elegant porcelain round plaque by Royal Copenhagen depicting the Madonna of the Chair, the famous composition by Raphael Sanzio.

The plaque is set in a special, scenographic circular frame in gold-leafed wood with a radiating design, which greatly enhances the small porcelain format and gives the piece a striking decorative effect.

The porcelain bears the characteristic distinctive elements of Royal Copenhagen, with the well-known mark of the three blue waves and the inscription “Eneret,” an indication used by the Danish manufactory and translatable as “exclusive right.”

The depiction reproduces Raphael’s famous subject, the Madonna of the Chair, here reinterpreted in a decorative format by Royal Copenhagen.

Condition
Overall condition is very good, with minor and normal signs of aging. The gold-leafed wooden frame shows a pleasant patina coherent with the age and type of the item.
