Diorama of World War II depicting a quiet day at the port of Argostoli on the Greek island of Kefalonia.
In the diorama there are several figurines of the Royal Italian Navy, a few guards in front of the Italian soldiers’ command building, and several civilians who observe the various maneuvers of Italian soldiers on a small guard shack used for patrolling, moored in front of the port’s quay at Argostoli.
Also very characteristic is the depiction of a small, quintessential Greek taverna enriched by local characters who go about their day peacefully, without the weight of the Italian occupation.
