Vase - Olympic » (Model 95) - Demi-Cristal Amethyst - Val Saint Lambert 1935

Dessinée en 1935 par les prestigieux designers Charles Graffart et René Delvenne, this sculptural piece was issued for the 1936 Olympic Games. It perfectly embodies the modernist and geometric aesthetic of the era with its motifs of interlocking arcs of circles at the top and vertical fluting on the base. The amethyst color (a deep and luminous purple) is one of the most sought-after hues among Luxval collectors for its superb refraction of light.
