An antique Dutch box regulator wall clock in oak wood, dating from 1960–1970, with a mechanical eight-day movement and half-hour striking on one gong, in excellent condition with winding key included.
Description from the seller
A classic Dutch style wall pendulum clock, most often considered a Dutch regulateur or antique pendulum clock with a hand-painted landscape.
It bears the hallmarks of traditional Dutch clockmaking (such as the famous Zaandam or Frisian clocks), characterized by a richly crafted wooden case, a hand-painted scene above the dial (usually a typical Dutch landscape with a church or windmill), as well as numerous Roman numerals and an ornate pendulum movement.
In terms of style, it can be associated with traditional Dutch (Low German) watchmaking, and more specifically with the nostalgic/regulatory style following the Zaandam (Zaanse) and Frisian (Friese staartklok) patterns.
It is in absolutely flawless, almost scratch-free condition, the water landscape on the dial and the other landscape are in beautiful colors, even the painting on the pendulum is not faded, like a piece of jewelry.
There is yellow cathedral glass decoration on the side, and the glass on the door of the clock is also decorated in an art deco style. A small sponge is glued to the bottom so that it doesn't knock when you put the key back in.
We can post it carefully packaged, in an insured, registered package.
