Pareja de figuras antropomorfas - Sculpture - Dogon - Mali (No reserve price)

Pair of anthropomorphic figures of Dogon tradition, Mali. First half of the 20th century.
Dimensions: 23 x 4 x 4 cm (each)

Sculptural pair made in cast bronze, presumably lost-wax casting, composed of a male figure and a female figure with a markedly stylized character. The two figures are characterized by their extremely elongated proportions and by the torsion of the bodies, creating a composition of great dynamism and verticality.

The female figure shows the attributes proper to her sex through the representation of the breasts, while the male presents more pronounced facial features. Both rest on small circular bases.

In good condition, as seen in the images.
