rare and elegant Sonia fashion doll mannequin, produced in Italy by the famous Milanese workshop Ottolini C&D, dating from the mid-50s to the mid-60s.
The doll represents an extraordinary example of an Italian fashion doll of the era, created to compete in the high-fashion miniature market.
Lot features:
Face and Hairstyle: Splendid makeup in perfect condition, with the characteristic blue eyes topped by a deep powder-blue eyeshadow and hand-painted lashes. Blonde synthetic or natural hair styled in the typical short, voluminous cut of the 1960s.
Original Clothing: Wears a day outfit of the highest sartorial quality. The ensemble includes a navy blue short-sleeved coat with a bell silhouette and white buttons, paired with a beige piquet fabric dress. Completing the look, a splendid cloche hat with grosgrain ribbon and bow.
Body: Slender and elegant, features the typical high-heeled shoe molded and painted black directly on the foot (style similar to the Bild Lilli dolls of the era).
Markings: Clearly branded on the back of the neck in relief: "OTTOLINI - MOD. DEP. - MADE IN ITALY".
Condition:
Vintage condition; facial colors are fresh and bright. The clothes show no tears or obvious fading, but only normal and light signs of aging compatible with an item over 60 years old.
