Description from the seller
Lot of 5 Tintin albums – Casterman – Editions in foreign languages
To sell a beautiful lot of 5 albums of The Adventures of Tintin, published by Casterman, with several editions in foreign languages. An original set that will interest both Tintin collectors and fans of international editions.
Lot of 5 original editions of regional and foreign translations of The Adventures of Tintin, published by Casterman between 1981 and 2008: one Esperanto edition from 1981 and four editions in regional languages of Belgium (Walloon and Picard/Ch’ti), including a Walloon edition from Charleroi in a limited run of 5,000 numbered copies.
1. La krabo kun oraj pinĉiloj — 1981
It's The Crab with the Golden Claws in Esperanto, translated by Hervé Gonin. This is a first Casterman edition from 1981, ISBN 2-203-01001-0.
2. Lès-ôr’rîyes dèl Castafiore — 2008
It's The Jewel of Monte Carlo? (Les Bijoux de la Castafiore) in Walloon from Charleroi. The edition is particularly interesting: 5,000 copies were produced, stamped and numbered, and it went on sale from May 17, 2008. It is therefore a first edition of this Charleroi translation, produced with the collaboration of Casterman and Moulinsart.
3. Les berlokes del Castafiore — 2005
These are The Jewels of the Castafiore in Walloon from Nivelles, called “aclot.” Casterman published it in 2005, and the libraries of Wallonia describe it as the first translation into Walloon of this version.
4. El’ sécrét d’la Licorne — 2005
It's The Secret of the Unicorn in Picard tournéois / Ch’ti, translated by Bruno Delmotte. Casterman published it in 2005, ISBN 2-203-00925-X, original edition / first edition in Ch’ti, with legal deposit and printing of September 2005.
5. El’ trésor du Rouche Rackham — 2005
It's The Treasure of Rackham the Rouge, also in Picard tournéois / Ch’ti, translated by Bruno Delmotte. Casterman, 2005, ISBN 2-203-00926-8. This is again the first edition of this regional translation.
The albums are in excellent condition, no tears, nor pencil marks to report on 4 albums. Small note: the album The Crab with the Golden Claws has a sentence/inscription marked on the work in the foreign language, see photo.
