This impressive vintage Japanese yanagiba kitchen knife is an exceptionally large specimen of high quality. With a total length of 41 cm and its long, slender blade, it is a beautiful example of the traditional Japanese blacksmithing craft.

The blade bears Japanese engraved marks/kanji and has a beautiful, authentic patina that suits the age and use of the knife. The knife is razor-sharp. The long, pointed tapering shape is characteristic of a yanagiba, originally designed for extremely precise cutting, including for fish and sashimi.

The knife is fitted with a traditional wooden handle with a dark ferrule, which gives the whole a sober and distinctive Japanese appearance. A special and impressive vintage kitchen knife, interesting for both the enthusiastic cook and the collector of authentic Japanese knives.
