Frame - Gold, Wood, stucco - Liberty in the Early 20th Century

We are offering at auction this splendid antique frame, datable to the early 20th century, a refined example of Italian Liberty style (Art Nouveau).

The frame features a wooden structure richly decorated with elaborate relief moldings, typical of the artistic production of that period. The central element is a continuous frieze of volutes and scrolls, finely detailed with stylized floral motifs and acanthus leaves, which gives the object an elegant and sinuous character.

The finish is in gold leaf, which presents a natural and widespread patina, bearing witness to the object's authenticity and age. Visible are signs of time, small chips and wear on the gilding, which do not compromise the structural beauty but, on the contrary, enrich its historical value and antique charm. The frame is solid and intact.
