Description from the seller
Walking stick, opaque amber, walnut and 18k gold, 1917 - Spain
Material: Opaque amber, walnut and 18k gold
Year: 1917
Country of origin: Spain
Good condition for its age and use
Dimensions: 89 x 9.5 x 2 cm.
Luxurious Spanish-made walking stick from 1917, crafted with opaque amber for the handle and walnut for the shaft, joined by a bright 18-carat gold band.
The handle is made from a rare opaque amber, also called bone amber or fossil resin, considered a semi-precious stone highly valued for its color and beauty. The shaft is smooth and straight, of natural-toned walnut wood. Both parts are joined by a 18-carat gold band engraved with the following inscription: “Paquito a su Salvador. Dr. J. Megias 3 - 1 - 917”.
There is also a contrast between the gold and a fine feather design next to the screws that close the band, of which the upper one is missing. Apart from that missing piece, the item is in good condition for its age and use.
The shipping of the product will be paid by the buyer according to dimensions, weight, and destination. We will contact you to arrange it and agree on the budget. Shipping costs include professional, custom packaging; and the personalized shipping with tracking number and warranty. The buyer will be responsible for paying import duties and associated taxes in the destination country, if any. Please note the seller’s disclaimer regarding possible customs charges, as they are charged in the destination country and the amount payable is determined by the customs of that country.
