Refined Art Deco-inspired sculpture depicting an elegant lady in a 1920s dress accompanied by her faithful dog. The work is attributed to the celebrated hand of sculptor Aurora Belcari, renowned for her mastery in capturing the sophisticated atmospheres and sinuous lines of the early twentieth century.
The statue is made in cold cast porcelain, a high-quality technique that combines porcelain powders and resins to achieve extraordinary detail and a solid, heavy feel, similar to cast porcelain ceramic. Particularly fascinating is the surface finish: despite the material’s nature, the workmanship and patina confer on the surface shades typical of oxidized bronze, enriched with characteristic traces of verdigris in the recesses, giving the object an authentic lived-in look and antique charm from another era.
