Description from the seller
Mechanical mantel clock from the German traditional manufacturer Kienzle, probably dating from 1925 to 1935.
The curved wooden case is characterized by its distinctive form, pronounced wood grain, and carefully crafted decorative elements. Particularly striking are the carved ornaments in the lower front area and the surrounding beaded trim.
The dial features a light ring with Arabic hour numerals and a visible wooden center area. The delicate metal hands and the chrome-plated bezel complete the design.
Inside operates a mechanical Kienzle pendulum movement with a mainspring winding. The striking mechanism with several chime bars produces a full, rich, and pleasantly resonant gong sound.
On the back of the case is the original manufacturer's plaque bearing the inscription “Original Kienzle”.
Condition and operation:
The clock has been professionally inspected by a clockmaker. During the inspection, the pendulum spring was renewed. The movement is fully functional and, like the wooden case, in impeccable condition.
