Description from the seller
A striking miniature specimen featuring a tall, deeply striated elbaite tourmaline crystal with contrasting white albite from the famous Stak Nala pegmatite locality in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan.
The main tourmaline crystal reaches approximately 4.3 cm and displays a very dark green to nearly black body color, becoming noticeably greener and more translucent around thinner edges and under strong illumination. Sharp vertical striations run along the prism faces and give the crystal excellent natural texture and luster.
White albite crystals grow directly along the tourmaline, creating a dramatic contrast against the dark crystal. A smaller parallel/intergrown tourmaline crystal adds additional depth and makes the specimen especially attractive from different viewing angles.
Stak Nala is one of Pakistan's best-known tourmaline localities and has produced highly collectible elbaite crystals with exceptional zoning, color, and associated albite.
Minerals: Elbaite Tourmaline & Albite
Locality: Stak Nala, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan
Dimensions: Approx. 4.3 × 1.2 × 1 cm
Size Class: Small Miniature
Form: Tourmaline crystal association with albite
