Description from the seller

"C.M. de Quelimane" local currency, which stands for Conselho Municipal de Quelimane, the municipal council of the city of Quelimane in Mozambique. Quelimane is a historic seaport city, serving as the administrative capital of the Zambezia Province. It is Situated near the mouth of the Bons Sinais River, on the Indian Ocean, and it's known for its vibrant cultural heritage, colonial architecture, and stunning natural beauty. The city was founded in 1544 by the Portuguese as a trading station, and it`s economy is driven by its port, fishing industry, and agricultural production, including tea, sugar, sisal, and coconuts. I have researched extensively for the value of this local currency but I have not been able to find any other examples sold in the international market. However, I need to clarify that this example has been trimmed on top, and generally has been restored, therefore I urge my bidders to bid based on the scans provided
