Description from the seller
Set of 6 presentation platters in pressed glass from the 1930s (interwar period) from the German company August Walther & Söhne (Walther), which was founded in 1865 in Saxony (but in 1950 it was expropriated and later continued as VEB Sachsenglas). These rectangular serving dishes with deeply worked facet decoration at the bottom are known from the 1933 catalog as model "Carré Tablett nr 22157" (3 cm high, 23 x 14 cm wide, weight between 464 and 557 g). The total weight of the set is approx. 3 kg.
All pieces are in excellent condition. They exhibit the typical characteristics of old pressed glass, such as sporadic air bubbles and small irregularities in shape and weight. Everything is packed with great care and insured for shipment.
