AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Wonderful Austrian Art Deco porcelain sculpture.
This magnificent plaster sculpture, with its soft, clean anatomical lines, the face gazing gently downwards, and the pose leaning against a tree trunk, reflects the aesthetic sensibilities of the transitional period between Art Nouveau and Art Deco.
A fine, net-like network of hairline cracks is visible on its surface. This is indicative of the natural ageing process of the layer of paint or varnish applied to the plaster, which reinforces the sculpture’s antique character.
