Description from the seller

Westinghouse H-572T4: when a clock radio seems to have stepped out of an American comic from the 1950s.

Produced in the United States in 1957, this Westinghouse is a magnificent example of American Mid-Century / Atomic Age design, with an aesthetic that today looks almost irresistible.

The rectangular shape, the large framed front, and the arrangement of the controls make it look like a small vintage television, but it is above all the clock face that immediately catches the eye: the large golden numbers, elongated and almost “comic,” arranged in a radial pattern, seem designed specifically for an American home in the 1950s.

But the detail that makes it truly special is the color.

A splendid original salmon pink, warm and incredibly cinematic. A variant already hard to encounter in the United States and decidedly unusual on the European market, where these devices almost never arrive in colors so distinctive.

The combination of salmon pink, golden accents, and the champagne-colored dial gives it an exceptional decorative presence: it is one of those objects that do not need explanations to attract attention.

A perfect piece for a collection dedicated to American radios, 1950s design, the Atomic Age, or Mid-Century Modern, but also simply for anyone seeking an antique item capable of instantly becoming the focal point of a space.

Westinghouse. America, 1957. Salmon pink. It’s hard to walk past without stopping to look.
