Description from the seller

Ours Blanc POMPON

Magnificent polystone resin sculpture, white bear model, Artemus Edition, excellent overall condition.

Height: 12.5 cm
Width: 6 cm
Length: 23 cm

Beautiful finish and carefully crafted details.
Brand new, delivered quickly in its original packaging, with Certificate of Authenticity.

Pompon spent most of his life in service to other artists. He ran Rodin's workshop from 1890 to 1895, before becoming René de Saint-Marceaux’s assistant until 1916. In search of his own style, he was largely influenced by the rise of japonisme and his admiration for Egyptian art.

It was only at the age of 67 that he achieved fame with the exhibition of his famous White Bear.

Parastone has successfully created decorative objects for almost 50 years, some of timeless classical beauty and others more aligned with prevailing trends. The Mouseion collection of museum pieces constitutes a significant part of the collection. In addition to faithful copies of major works of art, the Mouseion series also includes three‑dimensional interpretations of paintings and drawings by many artists, from Hieronymus Bosch to Salvador Dalí.

"decorative object, luxury item, table art, collector, interior decoration, figurine, sculpture, no panther, no Orlinski, no Koons, pop art, no Kong"
