MFZ = Metallwarenfabrik Zirndorf / Nürnberger Blechspielwaren GmbH (NBN) - uit Neurenberg - Tin toy - Zeldzame Blikken Opwindbare Hijskraan-US-Zone Germany 1945 - 1949, - 1940-1950 - Germany

A rare and authentic tinplate wind-up crane from the period 1945-1949, marked with "Made in Germany - US-Zone" and manufactured by MFZ / NBN (Nürnberger Blechspielwaren).

This collectible is in nice used condition with authentic patina and signs of aging appropriate to its age. Including the original wind-up key. The securing pin of the jib is missing; there has been a prior repair with a piece of iron wire instead of the original pin at the jib, which does not impair functionality.

The crane is fully wind-up, rotatable and the hook can be moved up and down via the rope.

A must-have for collectors of antique German tin toys from the post-war US-Zone period.
