Fully complete set (Series 1-35) ‘Birds of Belgian Fauna’ – Hubert Dupond / Museum of Natural Sciences – 350 unused postcards

Description:
A unique and extremely rare lot for the serious collector of natural history and vintage picture postcards. This concerns the fully complete series "Oiseaux de la Faune Belge / Vogels der Belgische Fauna", published by the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences (the current KBIN).
The beautiful, naturalistic illustrations are by the well-known Belgian artist Hubert Dupond (1901-1982).

Characteristics of this lot:
Size: All 35 series are present (Series 1 through Series 35), sufficient for the complete collection of 350 different bird cards.

Condition of the cards: The 350 bird cards themselves are in excellent, unused and unwritten condition. The colors are beautifully preserved and the cards have no creases, stamps or handwriting.

Packaging: Each series of 10 cards is in the original, authentic paper wrap from the museum. The envelopes themselves show, due to the ravages of time, some light, characteristic signs of use and aging (such as slight discoloration or minimal wear at the edges), which adds to the authentic vintage look.

Collecting all 35 individual series in this beautiful condition typically takes years. This is a rare opportunity to own the entire iconic bird collection in one go. Will be shipped with the utmost care and protection.
