Canon EF-S 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 III Prime lens

Launched by Canon in February 2011, the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 III is Canon's entry-level standard zoom designed for APS-C sensor DSLRs. It covers a range equivalent to about 29-88 mm in 24x36 format, from wide-angle to mild portrait, ideal for everyday photography. Compact and very light (about 195 g), it lacks image stabilization and uses a classic autofocus motor (DC motor). It accepts 58 mm filters and focuses as close as 25 cm. Long sold as a kit with entry-level DSLRs, notably the EOS 4000D, it is a simple and reliable lens for beginners.
